Summer in Aurora (Part 2)

The continuation post of my trip. Four days stay in Aurora. Two days of exploration. It's not enough. I could feel my heart pounding after realizing that we're about to go home on Sunday (aww sayang, sana may oras pa..) But I could say my summer vacation was worth it, and I'd raise two thumbs up for that.

A Very Fine Sunday

Sunday afternoon serves me right. A fine weather, a fine productive day, a fine day to shop, a fine day to eat at different places, this is a nice Sunday. I could absolutely say I made my own Sunday great since i finished my assignments before going out. Then, I immediately went off to Robinsons Magnolia. Still a new place, so expect some (of my favorite) stores are still not yet open for launch.

I get to take a few pictures there because as what I'm saying, it's a fine weather for a Sunday, even in an afternoon time. So, I got to spend my afternoon with a low-priced yet yummy coffee, I didn't even think of going to Starbucks or anything that time, what was on my mind is that any coffee would do. I chose to drink a 15Php worth of Nescafe coffee, see, a budget-friendly coffee. I know you're all murmuring right now why I'm so "CHEAP-ish" that time, nah, it's the taste that counts for me.

Heavy Rain Caused Too Much

What "Hanging Habagat" a.k.a. Southwest Monsoon brought. Last Monday, classes were declared half day after the heavy downpour of the rain. But when Tuesday morning came, lights and all other electricity suddenly stopped and there went brownout.  At first, I thought it's a new storm, but as I saw lightnings, mom told me that it's not a storm or etc.

Afternoon came, I got a bit scared since at our place in Sampaloc, it never flooded there from the past years, but this time, it did. Creepy as it sounds, right?

Thor is the Best (Graphic Comics)

The most "talk of the town" which is Thor. Thor is the most trending superhero in the Avenegers especially in the Philippines. They make use of his name like calculaTHOR, escalaTHOR, liTHORature (the word I invented, joke) and many more... But I want to share to you this picture I found in tumblr, and I was somehow amazed with the graphics art plus the thoughts contributed here.

TAO: The Art of Japanese Drum

The art of Japanese drum is here. They are famous not only in Japan, but almost every country knows "TAO: The Art of Japanese Drum". They have already about millions of viewers and spectators. It's not about the drums that we see in some old plays of Japan, but this one brings out the modern and mixed ways of traditional drum styles. Now, they're bringing it here and I can't stop being amazed about it. I really really hope that if I have a free time I could watch this!! They're only here for a short time, like 10 shows only! See poster and prices below.

Islander Philippines

Being sick doesn't mean I have to be alone and sad in one corner. Last Sunday, I'm a little bit fine so we decided to go to Glorietta, the usual mall. My family and I had our lunch and then off to TimeZone (Ken's treats) and more activities wherein you wouldn't imagine a sick playing around. Then, there's this mini contest open to all teens who wants new Islander Philippines slippers. Guess what? Dad just forced but hey, I won :) haha

Here are some pictures of the pair of slippers I won and me and my brother. Sorry I didn't bring my camera since I know it's just another same day.

Foodie Faves: Buko Fresh

Walking along the street, I suddenly found this cool store selling Buko (Philippine Fruit) or also known as Coconut wherein they must have revised it somehow. It was amazing because their bottle cap has a ready-punched hole on it and there you'll place the straw. Plus, they can mix their flavors like Buko Chocolate, Buko Strawberry and Buko Caramel. But that's for shake. They also sell Buko Juice for the juice-lovers. :) Here are some pics!

Buko-Strawberry is one of my favorite, so pardon me for  not having other pics as well

Foodie Faves: Peanut Kisses

So. Another foodie faves post. This one is also yummy, and it is hard to find in markets. You know why? Because this is only available in Bohol.

At first, tasting this would mean like I surrender. Like, saying to your mind that this is only handmade and I can also do it. But, NO. Try it!!! A delicious scrumptious yummy snack good for everyone. Whoa, seems like I'm endorsing their product now. haha

Waves art

So, here again is another drawing.. I used felt marker pen here, and uhm,. yeah, I know it's ugly and a not-so-perfect drawing :)
I drew this because I was daydreaming and thinking of going to the beach at Baler, yeah, the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines". Aw, I miss the water splashing and the breezy wind plus the clean sand :)

Russian Navy

It's Russian Navy's first time to dock in the Philippines. Mom got a free access inside and she invited us to go there. But sadly, dad can't join us because of some things to be fixed at home. I'm so excited awhile ago to visit the war ship and, of course, to meet the Russian Navy crew.
Mom's best ride ever - quoted by mom

Ohhh, mom took picture of me with the Russian who's assigned at the entrance, he looks cool

Ken also got a chance to take picture with this Russian at the entrance

Of course, they docked here, so, presenting The Philippine flag

Missile launchers, so big they almost scared the tourists inside

Awww, Ken rode the helicopter, I can't ride because I'm a concious girl and I became concious when I saw the Russians carrying people who's going to ride on it.

Ah, here's the best picture, he does not look like a Russian but an American instead

Team Philippines

I created this graphic logo out of nothing. Awhile ago, after studying, I'm thinking of what to do with my boredom. And then suddenly, I ended up making this logo which can represent the Philippines, but only the term "CAN".
